Galway Civic Museum, Galway
Architect: OPW Architectural Services
The Galway Civic Museum was developed to house an increasing accumulation of civic artefacts and is located next to Galway city’s waterfront.
The external envelope is a highly bespoke set of cladding systems from a two storey suspended glass corner box to highly machined ‘floating’ aluminum solar shades.
Completed in 2006 the building has won several national awards for design.
